Weird Biker Culture

So this is what we do. You sacrifice comfort,
cleanliness, and the conveniences of your daily
life in order to hit the sickest trails stateside.

Moab; again! It was great. This time we rode in a group
of four and took some trails at speed. Chanda is definately
getting more confidence. She was right on my tail
through the tough stuff, and on day two, I had to catch up
to her!

We all slept in our trucks. This is Jay's new home.
Here he is waking up camera shy.

Way to go Matt!

I have to say that it's pretty cool to find my friend Matt on Youtube. I am happy for his success, and am envious of his career. I can't imagine being able to ride in a crit within the streets of a crowded downtown metro, and walk away unscathed. If you don't think that cycling takes talent, just navigate away from this blog now and don't come back!

Back to where I belong

MOAB

Yep, we went back to Moab this past weekend to ride the Slickrock trails. Chanda has never been on any trials like that. I think that for her, this was a whole new perspective on Mountain Biking. You really have to learn to be at one with your bike, even if that means carrying it on your shoulder. Moab is not for the weak.

We slept in the back of my truck by the river. It is my favorite spot to sleep, because nobody knows about it except for locals. The best part is when you wake up, you are only a few miles from town.

I have included a video of Chanda on the Klondike Trail. This is a famous trail where you will see Dinosaur Tracks preserved within the Slickrock. Unless, of course, you don't believe that Dinosaurs existed. Then, I don't know what you would call those.
